Which is the hardest to write, the first or last line in your novels?

ReplyDeleteI've heard some authors say that their first book was the easiest to write and it takes longer to write now, so I wonder if they find that it takes them more, less, or the same amount of time to write later books as it took to write the first book? Also, on average how long does it take them to write a book (minus edits)?

ReplyDeleteCould you ask them what they think of writers starting later in life? So many authors start in their teens but I'm in my 20s now, so I'm curious as to what authors think about it. Is it ever too late to start writing?
